ANKARA - Several SES members were detained, including SES co-chairperson Selma Atabey.

 

Many SES members and former executives, including Selma Atabey, co-chair of the Health and Social Service Laborers’ Union (SES), were detained. It was learned that those detained in the raid on their homes in the morning were taken to the Anti-Terror (TEM) Branch.

 

SES former Co-Chairperson Gönül Erden was detained in Dersim, SES former Central Executive Board (MYK) member Fikret Çalağan in Istanbul, and Rona Temelli in Van.

 

The names of those detained in Ankara are as follows: SES former MYK member Belkız Yurtsever, SES former co-chair Bedriye Yorgun, retired member Ramazan Taş and Erdal Turan.

 

While the reason for the operation is unknown, those detained in different cities are expected to be brought to Ankara.
