MAXMUR - The new group took over the hunger strike launched in Maxmur to end the aggravated isolation imposed on PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan and to regain his physical freedom.
The indefinite-alternating hunger strike launched in Maxmur Martyr Rüstem Cudi Camp to demand the lifting of the aggravated isolation imposed on PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan, to regain his physical freedom and an end to the increasing violations of rights in Turkish prisons continues. Under the leading of the Ishtar Council, the 85th group took over the action, which continues on the 167th day, in the Martyrs' Families Council, within the scope of the "Time for freedom" move.
After a moment of silence on behalf of those who lost their lives in the struggle for freedom and democracy, Eylem Denîz took the floor on behalf of the 84th group. Recalling the aggravated isolation in İmralı, Eylem highlighted that Abdullah Öcalan is fighting for freedom and justice in İmralı. Stressing that the isolation in İmralı is unlike any other, the action stated that the Kurdish people aim to ensure the physical freedom of Abdullah Öcalan by overthrowing the fascist system.
After the slogans of "Bijî Serok Apo", "Bê serok jiyan nabe" and "Bijî Berxwedana Zîndana", the new group took over the action.
