DİYARBAKIR - Named M.D., the music instructor recruited by Cumali Atilla, who was appointed as a trustee to Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality, turned out that raped a child. It was stated that the perpetrator used systematic violence against women he was married to before and harassed a person at the congress center.

 

A man named M.D., who is the vice-chair of Diyarbakır Dom and Roma Culture Solidarity Folklore Youth and Sports Club (DOMDER) and gives music education to children and adults in the conservatory department of Sezai Karakoç Culture and Congress Center of Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality, raped a 14-year-old child. After the police investigation initiated after what happened, it was learned that the perpetrator disappeared and his mother, G.D, who helped the situation, was taken into custody. While the perpetrator is still being wanted, his mother, G., was released after her statement at the prosecutor's office after one day of detention.

 

‘M.D. and family members conspired against my child’

 

Mustafa D., the father of the child we talked to about the subject, told what happened. Mustafa said that the perpetrator was his nephew and that he and his family deceived his child and took the child home, then used violence and raped a child. Mustafa said: “M. said earlier that he wanted to marry my child. I told him that my child is 14-year-old and he is 40-year-old, and therefore such a thing is not possible. My child is not old enough to understand what has been exposed to. There was conspired to my child. There are also M., M's mother G. and other family members in this subject.”

 

‘He tortured both women he was married to’

 

M.D. used systematic violence against two women he had married before; Mustafa, who claims that he harassed someone in the cultural center where he worked before, but the issue was closed, said: "Neither M.'s violence nor harassment is the first time. He tortured the women he married. The women could not stand the torture they were subjected to and left the house."

 

‘Released’

 

Mustafa stated that M. D. disappeared after the incident and only his mother was taken into custody. Stating that the child gave his statement at the prosecutor's office regarding the situation, Mustafa said: "My child gave a statement at the prosecutor's office that they kidnapped child, used violence and raped. M.'s mother was also detained for one day and was released yesterday."

Call to women's institutions

Mustafa also wanted his voice to be heard and wanted women's institutions and lawyers to stand by them.

It was learned that M. D. was recruited in 2016 during the time of Cumali Atilla, who was appointed as a trustee to the Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality.
