ADANA - In the statement made regarding the racist attacks, it was emphasized that racism will not be allowed, and it was said: ‘’As always, we will nullify the chaos plans of the AKP-MHP fascist government.’’

 

The racist attacks, which have increased in the last period, were protested in front of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) district building in Adana’s Çukurova district. Peoples’ Democratic Congress (HDK) Adana Provincial Council Co-spokesperson Selda Kaya, HDP Adana Provincial Co-chairs Gülseren Tural and Mehmet Karakış and many party members attended the statement, and the banner ‘’There is no passage to racism for common life’’ was unfurled.

 

‘We need to stand together’

 

HDP Çukurova District Co-chair Saniye Seçgin pointed out that seven people from Dedeoğulları were killed in Konya and said that the massacre was caused by the hate language used by the government. Saniye emphasized that this language, mentality and policy is the product of a mentality that poisons the common life in Turkey and puts dynamite in the common life. Saying that HDP and Kurds were targeted with racist rhetoric in the ongoing forest fires, Saniye said: ‘’This country and forests are ours. Not only the trees are on fire, but the whole nature is destroyed with creepy crawly. Our future is on fire. We shout that there is a need to stand side by side against this government’s dire policies and its poisonous language that calls for massacres. Let’s all oppose these hate policies and these murderous plans together. Let’s stop them together. As always, we will nullify the chaos plans of the AKP-MHP fascist government. We will not allow to racism for common life.’’

 

The statement ended with the slogan ‘’The murderers will be held accountable to the public’’.
