HESEKÊ - Hundreds of teachers and students in the city of Dirbêsiyê condemned the ENKS (Syrian Kurdish National Assembly) 'request to abolish education in the native language in meetings among Kurdish political parties.
Hundreds of teachers and students in the city of Dirbêsiyê in NE Syria organized a march to protest the ENKS's demand for the abolition of education in the native language during the meetings among Kurdish political parties. Gathering in front of the Martyr Roza Cudi Institute, the crowd carried banners writing "Our Language Is Our Existence" and "Humans Exists with their language".

After marching to the front of the Kongreya Star's building in the district, Teacher Nesrin Meami read the press statement.
In the statement, it was stated that the Kurds have been fighting for years to protect their language and culture.
In the continuation of the statement, the demand for the abolition of education in native languge was protested and conmended "Our native language is our existence, our dignity and our freedom".
