URFA - Emine and Ferit Şenyaşar, who have been continuing their protest at home for 17 days due to the curfew, carried their "justice" vigil again to the courthouse.

 

Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her husband and two sons in 2018 as a result of the attacks, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar, who survived the attack, demanded that those responsible be put on trial, and the "justice" vigil continues on its 70th day. The family moved their protest, which they had been carrying out in their homes in Suruç since April 30, due to the curfews, to the courthouse once the restrictions were over.

 

‘We want justice’

 

The family, who came to the courthouse garden in the early hours of the morning, sat in front of the Atatürk Statue and started their action again. Ferit Şenyaşar, who was injured in the attack, stated that they continued their struggle at home for 17 days due to the pandemic restrictions and that they came to the courthouse again with the end of the restriction and said: "We want justice. It should fulfill the legal requirement, we will end our action. We are waiting for those who want to add voice to ours."

Emine Şenyaşar said: "We are again in front of the courthouse. Hospital records should be made. We will not leave before the records taking out. They persecute us. Why doesn't the prosecutor take out the records? My son has been kept innocent in a single room for three years. Those who killed my children are free. We just want justice."

 

‘We are the victims of the massacre’

 

The family shared from their social media account: "Our struggle for justice continues in front of the Şanlıurfa Justice Palace. We will continue to stay in front of the courthouse as long as no legal action is taken against the 23 people involved in the massacre in the hospital determined by the prosecutor. We are the victims of the massacre. We just want justice."
