Sexist insult to one woman from Vice Chief of Police of Istanbul

ISTANBUL - Istanbul Vice Chief of Police Muharrem Yazgan, who came to the agenda by saying ‘’Look down’’ to the students in the trustee rector protests, swore and insulted a woman sexistly during the police attack on the September 1 action in Taksim Tunnel.
Police attacked the statement made to protest the ban on the Peace Rally that Istanbul Labor, Peace and Democracy Forces wanted to hold in Taksim Tunnel Square on September 5. In the attack, in which many people were battered and subjected to violence, 33 people were detained.
Sexist swearing and insults from Vice Chief of Police
In the protests against the appointment of a trustee rector to Boğaziçi University, the Istanbul Vice Chief of Police Muharrem Yazgan insulted the students by saying ‘’Impertinents, look down, look down. No gathered walking around’’. He also caused Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Istanbul MP Musa Piroğlu to fall from a wheelchair in the attack on September 5. During the ongoing police attack, Vice Chief of Police Muharrem Yazgan sexistly swore and insulted a woman who was battered and tried to be taken into custody.
HDP Diyarbakır MP Dersim Dağ also brought the insults of Muharrem Yazgan and the police torture to the agenda of the parliament and asked the Minister of Interior Süleyman Soylu.
