Isolation protested in Shengal

NEWS CENTER - In Shengal, women and youth protested the isolation imposed on PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan.
 
In Shengal, located in the Federated Kurdistan Region, a march was held against the isolation imposed on Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) leader Abdullah Öcalan, led by the Yazidi Women’s Freedom Movement (TAJÊ) and the Yazidi Youth Union. Hundreds of women and young people joined the march, which started from the Sinûn district road and continued up to the Kers valley.
 
At the end of the march, a statement was made in the ‘’Leadership Garden’’. In the statement, which stated that the isolation against Abdullah Öcalan had no place even in the Turkish state’s own law, it was stated that the entire society was intended to be kept in the dark with the isolation. In the statement, which stated that the attacks against Yazidis in Shengal are also related to the isolation, it was emphasized that the struggle against isolation will continue.
