NEWS CENTER - At the Second International Women's Conference, women from 41 countries discussed the common struggle in workshops organized under 8 different topics.
In the 2nd International Women's Conference, held in Berlin, the capital of Germany, with the slogan "Our Revolution: Liberating Life" by the Women Are Weaving Their Future Network, women exchange ideas with discussions. Following the start of the conference session, the women, who had discussions under 8 headings, emphasized the common struggle in the workshops they held yesterday.
Within the scope of the workshops, the subjects of resistance against forced migration, women's liberation as a strategic struggle, health, economy, ecology, protection of language and culture, establishment of an anti-fascist front and education were discussed.
Participation from 41 countries
Participants from 41 countries spoke at the workshops, which took place under 8 different titles, and emphasized the common struggle.
Resistance to forced migration
It was pointed out that it is necessary to develop the struggle to defend the right of people to live where they want by crossing the borders drawn by nation states against forced migration and to overcome the problems caused by migration. While drawing attention to the need for a resistance front that connects with the struggle of women to protect and liberate their own lands, evaluations were made on how to organize a resistance network that would meet the needs that emerged with migration and strengthen solidarity.
Women's liberation as a strategic challenge
Discussions were held on what political, cultural and economic organizations, organizations and institutions (those who fight within and outside the borders of the state) can do to have a content centered on women's freedom.
Health
In the evaluations, where health is one of the areas dominated by the patriarchal system by seizing, ignoring or appropriating the creations of women, an alternative medicine understanding that can be organized according to the needs of the society rather than being in the service of the capitalist profit motive was emphasized.
Economy
What is required for an alternative understanding of the economy that can restrain the excessive profit greed and greed of capitalism? In the economics workshop, where discussions were carried out on the question of the issue, evaluations were made on how to organize small-scale alternative economy experiences outside the capitalist market.
Ecology
In this session, views on how to develop an ecological struggle that includes women's approach to the struggle for ecology and freedom of society and gender were conveyed.
Preservation of language and culture
In the speeches, which drew attention to the role of women as carriers of culture and language, evaluations were made on what can be done to revive local languages. In this workshop, the songs were sung by the activists in the maqam Bertsolaritza, which means a rhymed and measured folk tune in Spanish.
Establishment of the anti-fascist front
In this workshop, women expressed the need to form a women's front against racism, nationalism and fascism.
Education
In the training workshop where speeches were made on the need to have Xwebûn, which is a philosophy of life and means self-knowledge, in order to lead the women's struggle, it was stated that one of the most important means of achieving this is the establishment of self-education systems by women.
The first day of the conference ended with music concerts after the discussions at the workshops. Yelda Abbasi took the stage with the slogan "Jin jiyan azadi" and sang her tunes with the women.
