Death toll in Syria rises to 3 thousand 581

NEWS CENTER - While search and rescue efforts continue in the structures destroyed on the 7th day of the earthquake, the number of people who lost their lives in Syria and Northern and Eastern Syria rose to 3,581.
 
The cities of Kurdistan, Turkey and Syria were significantly affected by the earthquake centered on Mereş. Thousands of people lost their lives in regions where search and rescue efforts were insufficient, and there are still thousands of people waiting to be removed under the rubble. While search and rescue efforts continue in Syria and Northern and Eastern Syria, the number of people who lost their lives due to the earthquake rose to 3,581.
 
4 cities declared disaster areas
 
The Syrian Ministry of Health announced that the number of people who lost their lives in the areas under the control of the government increased to 1,408 and the number of injured to 2,341. The White Helmets, on the other hand, announced that 1,408 people lost their lives and 2,341 were injured in areas under the control of armed groups. The Damascus administration declared Latakia, Hama, Aleppo and Idlib, which were most affected by the Marash-centered tremors, as "disaster zones". It was stated that in these provinces, funds will be created for reconstruction works. According to Al Jazeera, 1,100 bodies have been taken to Syria's Bab-El Hava border crossing, across the Cilvegözü border of Hatay's Reyhanlı district, since the earthquakes occurred.
