The Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA) has released a report on the protests in Iran and Rojhilat, detailing the massacres and human rights violations that have taken place over the past 36 days. According to the report, the total number of confirmed deaths reached 6,842, while 6,425 people, including 146 children, were reported to have been killed by regime guards.
The report noted that 11,280 deaths are still under investigation and stated that the number of injured civilians is 11,21. The report stated that a total of 11,280 deaths were under investigation, that the number of students arrested had risen to 94, that 296 videos had been published under the heading of forced ‘confessions’, and that 11,046 people had been summoned for questioning.
Meanwhile, the report stated that arrests and detentions continue in cities across the country, adding, ‘Increasing pressure and threats continue in the area of medical treatment and care for the injured. The publication of a list of those killed by the Presidential Office has also led to numerous reactions and questions.’
The report, which emphasised that lawyers and healthcare workers were particularly targeted in the recent events, included a statement from the Iranian Nurses Association that at least three nurses had lost their lives while on duty or commuting to work during the recent protests, and at least three others had been injured. The report also stated that the union had not received any ‘confirmed’ reports of nurses being arrested solely for performing their professional duties, but that 18 nurses had been summoned for questioning, mostly for activities outside their professional roles.
