DİYARBAKIR- In the morning, police conducted house raids in the Bağlar district of Diyarbakır province and detained EDEV (Education Support House) teacher Muazzez Filiz and DBP personnel Rıfat Aslan.

Police conducted house raids in the Şeyh Şamil and Selahattin Eyyubi neighborhoods of Diyarbakır’s Bağlar district in the morning. Muazzez Filiz, painter and teacher of Education Support House (EDEV-Eğitim Destek Evi), which gave free education for poor students and closed down by appointed trustee to the Kayapınar Municipality, was taken into custody in Şeyh Şamil Neighborhood. While the reason for detention is unknown yet, Muazzez has been taken to Provincial Police Headquarters.

Police raided a home in Selahattin Eyyubi Neighborhood and detained Rıfat Aslan (37), personnel of the Democratic Regions Party (DBP). The reason for his detention is unknown yet and he has been taken to Provincial Police Headquarters.
