ANKARA - Leman Magazine has used prisoner educator Nuriye Gülmen, who is on hunger strike for 247 days, and has been subjected to psychological violence by warders, on its cover.

As the hunger strike launched by two dismissed educators Nuriye Gülmen and Semih Özakça has entered 247th day, the resistance started in front of the Human Rights Monument on Yüksel Avenue has already left its one year.

Nuriye has been held in the prisoner's wards of Ankara Numune Hospital and she has been subjected to psychological violence by the question of wardens saying, “Are you alive or dead?”

A caricature magazine in Turkey called Leman has used the situation of Nuriye on its cover and it has recalled the Nuriye’s words saying, “Don’t worry humanity hasn’t died yet” and they also wrote this sentence on its cover.
