ANKARA - Police attacked the “We want our jobs back” action and detained five people.
The hunger strike launched by academic Nuriye Gülmen and teacher Semih Özakça, who were dismissed from their duties by emergency decrees has entered in its 248th day. The “We want our jobs back” action carried out in front of the Human Rights Monument by the supporters of educators after their arrest has entered in its 368th day. Today, a group gathered in order to support Nuriye and Semih and they wanted to make a statement in front of the Human Rights Monument.
Police didn’t allow them and the group gathered in the Konur Street. Police attacked them and detained five of them.
Police didn’t allow the journalists to take picture and closed the street for a while.
