De facto curfew and clashes going on in Ömeryan

MARDİN- Clashes broke out in Ömeryan region of Mardin’s Nusaybin district due to military operation launched in the region reportedly continued until morning. The reports state that the soldiers have arbitrarily barred entrance and exit to the villages.
Ömeryan region located in the Nusaybin district of Mardin are under military blockade. As the armored vehicles have been placed on all ways leading to villages, clashes have been reported from the region. According to reports received from the villagers, entrance and exit to the villages have been arbitrarily barred during the air supported operation in the region. The reports say the clashes broke out in countryside of Çalıköy (Çale) village continued until morning.
Furthermore, yesterday the students and their parents weren’t allowed to enter their villages by soldiers saying, “Curfew has been declared” while they were returned from Nusaybin district. No official statement has been made by Mardin Governorate on declaration of a curfew in the region.
Curfew declared in Artuklu has been lifted
Yesterday, Mardin Governorate declared a curfew in the Çukuryurt, Yukarıaydınlı, Aşağıaydınlı and Çayırpınar neighborhoods located in the countryside of Mardin’s Artuklu district on the ground that an operation would be launched in the region. The curfew has been lifted today.
