NEWS CENTER - As the death toll from the 7.3 magnitude earthquake stroke Eastern and Southern Kurdistan Sunday night rises to 328, many injured people have been sent to Sulaimaniyah due to power losses in many areas.

 

Death toll from 7.3 magnitude earthquake took place between Sulaymaniyah province of Southern Kurdistan and Kermanshah province of Eastern Kurdistan raises. Forensic Medicine Institute in Kermanshah announced that 207 people have died and more than 700 people have been injured.

 

The reports say the death toll in Serpol Zahab is 142, in Îslamabad Xerb is 22, in Salasi Bawecani is 15, in Kerendi Xerb 14 and in Qasr-e Shirin is 14. No information has been received from many villages of Kermanshah province.

 

Kermanshah Governor Huşeng Bazvend announced that three-day mourning has been declared in the province.

 

Crisis Center reports that 328 people have died and 3,950 people have been injured due to the earthquake.

 

Power losses, injured people sent to Sulaymaniyah

 

The most affected area from the earthquake is reported as Darbandikhan, 75 kilometers of Sulaymaniyah. The injured people are reported to be sent to Sulaymaniyah due to power losses. Thousands of people spent the night in the streets and parks.

 

The Red Crescent in Iran announced that they need emergency shelter for more than 70,000 people.
