‘Practices of dealing with difficult pasts’ discussed

ISTANBUL - In the panel called, “Practices of dealing with difficult pasts” organized by by Hrant Dink Foundation and DVV International, the practices of dealing with difficult pasts were discussed over the Israel-Palestine example
 
A panel called “Practices of dealing with difficult pasts” was organized at the Havak Hall of the Hrant Dink Foundation by Hrant Dink Foundation and DVV International. Meltem Ahiska, one of the academicians of the Boğaziçi University, moderated the panel which received attention of many academicians and students. Jillian Lipman from Zachor Foundation for Social Remembrance and research specialist Tom Pessah attended the panel as speakers.
 
Israel-Palestine example
 
Jillian Lipman was the first person spoke at the panel and she mentioned the connection between hate speech and media. Then, Tom Pessah began to speak and he made a presentation called “Zachor: Foundation for Social Remembrance”. Tom first talked about the works of their NGO named Zorchrot and he pointed out that the practices of dealing with difficult pasts are quite difficult.
 
The panel ended after the question and answer session.
