QAMISLO - The North Syrian Federation Women Initiative has announced the March 8 action calendar, which will be held with the slogan of "Women Stand Up for Afrîn". The women will hold a march on 5th of March to Afrîn with the participation of tens of thousands of women under the slogan of "From Rosa to Barin, from Sara to Avesta: the war continues" 

 

The Northern Syrian Federation Women Initiative, consisting of Arab, Turkmen, Assyrian, Syrian, Circassian, Armenian, Albanian and Kurdish women in the North Syrian Federation area, announced the schedule of action and event on March 8th. Northern Syrian Women Initiative who have announced that they will meet the March 8 with the slogan of "Women Stand  Up for Afrîn" also stated that they are going to walk to Afrîn on March 5th to raise the resistance.

 

'From Rosa to Barin the war continues'

 

The women's leading power in the Afrîn resistance was emphasized in the statement made for the March 8 actions and activities that will take place with the leadership of Kongra Star and "North Syrian Federation Women Initiative",  formed by Syria Women's Council, Raqqa Women's Council, Manbij Women's Assembly, Cizîr Region Women's Assembly, Kobanê Regional Women's Assembly and Rojava Young Women's Union. 

 

"The women struggle that grows up from Rosa Luxemburg to Barîn Kobanî, from Sara to Avesta Xabur, once again fights against the rapist, occupant AKP mentality and rewrite the history of the women's struggle for freedom" said in the statement and it was added, "The resistance in Afrîn has once again shown that  in anytime or anywhere, women have never bow to occupations and cruelty and they will never bow. The Rojava revolution is a women's revolution. All the forces that see it are attacking and want to destroy the woman and the values that she creates. As women, we must raise the struggle in everywhere and stand up against the occupying Turkish state and its gangs that want to eradicate our values. The Syriac, Armenian, Arabian, Turkmen, Circassian, Kurdish women have to show that they will not allow any occupying force to step into their territory. For that, the women should participate in the resistance and stand up."

 

The schedule of the North Syrian Federation Women Initiative for the actions and events for the March 8 is as follows: 

  

*On March 5, thousands of women from all regions and areas will march to Afrîn to raise the resistance.  

 

*In 5 places, Cizîr Region, Kobanê Region, Manbij ve Raqqa areas and Efrîn Region, marches will be held for the 8th of March.

 

*People Meetings will be held in every area of North Syria Federation before March 8. 

 

*All the areas will celebrate the March 8 as a circle symbol around Afrîn.
