YPJ member Anna Campbell killed in Afrin

AFRÎN - YPJ member and internationalist fighter Anna Campbell (Helin) was killed in the attacks of Turkey and Turkish-backed groups on Afrin.
Turkish attacks on Afrin have continued for 59 days. Women's Defense Units (Yekîneyên Parastina Jin, YPJ) member and a British internationalist fighter Anna Campbell (Helin) was killed in the attacks of Turkey and Turkish-backed groups on Afrin. Her father Dirk Campbel spoke to BBC and he confirmed that Anna was killed in Turkish airstrike on Afrin on March 15, 2018. He said, “Anna was very idealistic, very serious, very wholehearted and wanted to create a better world.”
One of YPJ commanders Nesrin Abdullah made a statement and she said, “Although we tried to protect her on the front line, the attacks of the Turkish state were very heavy.”
International Commune of Rojava also made a statement and said, “Our friend Hêlîn (Anna Campbell) became martyr fighting in Afrin. We will always remember her brave and unbreakable spirit of resistance.”
