AFRÎN –“The people believe in the YPG/YPJ fighters. We will take Afrin against the male dominant and predatory mindset. Struggle for freedom will win in Afrin,” said Hediye Yusuf, Co-chair of the Northern Syria Federation Constituent Assembly.

 

Northern Syria Federation Constituent Assembly Co-chair Hediye Yusuf commented on the latest situation in Afrin and she called on all people to “not remain silent against the ongoing crime against humanity in Afrin”.

 

Noting that the people of Afrin and the members of the YPG/YPJ put up an incomparable resistance, Hediye said, “We adopt a new method to ensure the people’s safety. The resistance never ends in Afrin. It will continue until we liberate Afrin from the invaders and Afrin becomes a safe place again. Before the invasion, Afrin was a safe place where different peoples lived together. Then, Turkish state and its gangs carried out massacres in the city and looted Afrin. We will eradicate the predatory mindset from our lands with our incomparable resistance.”

Hediye expressed that the Kurdish people continue to resist all over the world and she added, “The Kurdish people have will and power and they continue their protests all over the world and this resistance will continue. The Kurdish people stand with Afrin and believe in the YPG/YPJ fighters. We will take Afrin against the male dominant and predatory mindset.”

 

‘Struggle for freedom will win in Afrin’

 

Stating that the international powers make a deal with the Turkish state in this process for their interests, Hediye continued to talk as follows; “They bargain over the blood of the Kurdish people. The Kurdish people have never bowed to the bargains carried out over their own blood. They didn’t bow in Afrin and they won’t. The struggle for freedom will win in Afrin.”
