Urgent call for displaced people of Afrin

SHEHBA- Afrin Health Assembly and Shehba Health Assembly have issued an urgent call and say forcibly displaced hundreds of thousands of civilians urgently need medicine and clean water.
 
Afrin Health Assembly and Shehba Health Assembly have issued a statement on health condition of the hundreds of thousands of civilians, who had to leave Afrin and move to Shehba Canton due to the attacks of Turkey and its backed groups. Health workers and members Heyva Sor a Kurd (The Kurdish Red Crescent) attended the statement issued in Ehrez region. Dr. Azad Sebri shared the latest information about the health problems of the people of Afrin, who were forcibly displaced.
 
Azad reminded that hundreds of civilians, including women and children, were killed on the 58th day of attacks from land and air and said, “Upon the systematization of civilian massacres, hundreds of thousands of civilians emigrated from Afrin and came to the provinces of Shehba Canton and Shêrawa district. Many civilian died on the migration route and they were buried on the route.”
 
‘They live in unhealthy conditions’
 
Stating that the people of Afrin got out from their homes just with the clothes on them and that they live in unhealthy conditions in the region, Azad said that the medical service and medicine service they provide are insufficient. Azad also said, “Hundreds of thousands of people are trying to survive in Shehba region and its villages in unhealthy conditions. Clean water and medicine are basic needs for them. And we have serious problems to provide medical equipment.”
 
Underlining that they haven’t received any medical and medicine support from the international organizations, Azad said that the civilians urgently need medicine and clean water.
