7 journalists of Özgürlükçü Demokrasi Newspaper detained

ISTANBUL - Police raided the houses of journalists of Özgürlükçü Demokrasi Newspaper, which had been taken over by government-appointed trustee and detained seven journalists.
Last week, police raided the office of Özgürlükçü Demokrasi Newspaper and Gün Printing House and 25 employees of the newspaper were detained. Then, trustee was appointed to the newspaper and the pringting house. Last night, special operation police raided the houses of some newspaper’s employees. According to received reports, the newspaper’s editors Mehmet Ali Çelebi, Reyhan Hacıoğlu and Hicran Ürün, the newspaper’s employees Pınar Tarlak, Ramazan Sola and Nedim Demirkıran and the newspaper’s former employee Mehmet Beyazit have been detained until now.
The detained journalists have been reportedly taken to Istanbul Police Headquarters on Vatan Avenue and an arrest warrant has been issued for seven other journalists.
