MUŞ - The first hearing of jailed journalist Seher Taşkın was held today by 2nd High Criminal Court in Muş province. The judge has ordered Seher to remain jailed.
The first hearing of jailed Mezopotamya Agency (MA) reporter Seher Taşkın being accused of “being a member of a (terrorist) organization” and propagandizing for a (terrorist) organization” was held today by 2nd High Criminal Court in Muş province. The judge has ordered Seher to remain jailed.
The next hearing will be held on July 2, 2018.
What had happened?
Mezopotamya Agency (MA) reporter Seher Taşkın was detained on December 20, 2017 in Muş province and she was released under judicial control after four days in custody. She was detained again on January 20 upon the objection of the prosecutor and she was sent to prison on charge of “being a member of a (terrorist) organization” by the court.
