DİYARBAKIR - Thousands have begun to gather at Diyarbakır’s Istasyon Square for International Workers’ Day rally organized by labor and professional organizations with the motto, “We’ll see good days”.
People of Diyarbakır have begun to gather at Istasyon Square for the International Workers’ Day rally. The flags of workers’ unions have been hanged at the square for the rally organized by labor and professional organizations with the motto, “We’ll see good days”. The banners reading, “End of the injustice against laborers under the name of security investigation”, “No to the state of emergency for our job security” and “Our labor, body, identity are ours”
Police have closed the square with barriers. Members of the Confederation of Public Employees' Trade Unions (KESK), Confederation of Progressive Trade Unions of Turkey (DİSK), Union of Chambers of Turkish Engineers and Architects (TMMOB), Eğitim-Sen (Teachers’ Union), Tüm Bel-Sen (Municipal Workers’ Union), Republican People's Party (CHP), politicians, Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) MPs and hundreds of people have been flocked to the square. The people have chanted slogans such as “Biji berxwedana Efr'in'e (Long live resistance of Afrin)” and “We will win by resisting.”
